NEW DELHI: India skipper Rohit Sharma has been well known for his on-field chatters with teammates and opposition players and some of them, caught on stump mic, have turned out to be absolute rib-ticklers.
Rohit on Friday was once again involved in an hilarious exchange of words, this time, with Washington Sundar during the first one-dayer against Sri Lanka in Colombo.
The incident took place when Sundar was bowling to Lanka batter Dunith Wellalage and appealed for LBW after hitting Wellalage’s pad.
Unsure over whether the ball hit Wellalage’s bat or pad first, Sundar looked at keeper KL Rahul and Rohit, at first slip, if they were interested in taking the review.
While Rahul instantly said that he wasn’t sure, Rohit was heard saying, “What? You tell me. Mere ko kya dekh raha hai. Sab kya main karu tere liye?” (Why are you looking at me? Should I do everything for you?), from the first slip.

The Indian players eventually decided not to go for the review.
Sri Lankan top-order crumbled against accurate Indian bowlers but intelligent fifties by Pathum Nissanka and Dunith Wellalage carried them to a fighting 230 for eight.
Nissanka (56, 75b, 9×4) was a picture of concentration and Wellalage (67 not out, 65b, 7×4, 2×6) of confidence on a pitch that offered some turn after Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka opted to bat first, but several of their colleagues were unwilling to mimic them.
For India, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh picked up a couple of wickets each while Mohammed Siraj, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav and Sundar bagged a wicket apiece.
