NEW DELHI: Sitting at the summit of the points table, India boasts an impressive unbeaten streak of six matches in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. To secure a spot in the semifinals, they only need to win one of their remaining three matches.
With the World Cup now entering its crucial stage, featuring 14 matches yet to be played, Rohit Sharma‘s team will have its first opportunity to cement a place in the final four on Thursday when they face Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Following this match, India is scheduled to compete against the second-placed South Africa on November 5 and the Netherlands on November 12.
Presently, India leads the points table with 12 points from six victories, while their opponents, Sri Lanka, are currently positioned in seventh place with two wins and four losses.
