NEW DELHI: With his outstanding all-around performance in the second India-Afghanistan T20I in Indore, all-rounder Shivam Dube joined the exclusive ranks of legends such as Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh. Dube is enjoying a wonderful return run in T20I cricket.
Dube is the seventh Indian player to take at least a wicket and score a fifty in a T20I match, but only the third player to do it on two or more occasions, with Yuvraj having done it three times and Virat having done it twice.
Dube struck 60* in 40 balls with five fours and two sixes in the opening Twenty20 International match against Afghanistan, taking 1/9 in two overs.
Dube took 1/36 with the ball in the second Twenty20 International played on Sunday. He then went on to score a scorching 63* in thirty balls, including five fours and four enormous sixes.
Washington Sundar, Tilak Varma, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya have all achieved this accomplishment once apiece.

Dube made his return to the national side after three years during the tour to Ireland last year and travelled with the Asian Games gold medal-winning team in Hangzhou as well.
Dube has played in seven games after the Ireland series and has amassed 170 runs in four innings at a strike average of 158.87 with two half-centuries. In his seven games, he has also claimed three wickets.
