Agata was asked about her favourite Indian cricketer on X and she responded with a picture of Kohli with a ‘GOAT’ emoticon.
Agata, who plays for Venezia Calcio 1985 in Serie B, a second-division football tournament in Italy, also disclosed how she developed her interest in cricket.
She said she started following cricket only a year ago because of her friends in India who are passionate about the sport.
Agata responded to another query by another fan on watching the cricket in the stadium. ‘Not yet’ she replied, but expressed her surprise over the big and crowded stadiums in India.
Kohli produced an all-time great run of form, scoring the most runs ever by an individual batter at the recently concluded World Cup.
His 765 surpassed the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar (673 in 2003) and came at an average of 96.62. His three centuries in the tournament saw him reach 50 career ODI tons, overtaking Tendulkar for the most in the history of the format.
Kohli chose to skip the white ball leg of the South Africa tour along with skipper Rohit Sharma. Both the players will be back for the two-Test series in South Africa beginning with the Boxing Day Test in Centurion.
Rohit and Kohli last played a T20I match for India back in the 2022 T20 World Cup when the Men in Blue went down to England in the knockout stage at the Adelaide Oval.
