Fantasy XI recommendations for the IPL 2022 game between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants

March 28: Gujarat Titans v Lucknow Super Giants, Wankhede Stadium

Safe XI: KL Rahul (capt), Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Shubman Gill, David Miller, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Rashid Khan, Avesh Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Ravi Bishnoi (vice-capt)

Captain: KL Rahul
No surprises here as the IPL’s leading run-scorer in the last three seasons, Rahul, is our captain’s choice. The new skipper for Super Giants has scored 1889 runs in 41 games at an average of 57.24 over the last three seasons. He has scored more T20 runs at the Wankhede (494 in nine games) than any other stadium in India. His last six scores here are 61, 5, 91, 91, 100* and 94.
Vice-captain: Ravi Bishnoi
Bishnoi had a lot of success in the second half of the last season after being dropped initially by Punjab Kings. He picked up 12 wickets in nine outings at an economy of 6.39 last season, which paved way for his India debut. In the four T20Is he has played for India, he has picked up four wickets at an economy of 6.75.
Hot Picks
Rashid Khan: Rashid has been one of the most bankable fantasy stars in the IPL. Since his IPL debut, he is the second-leading wicket-taker with 93 wickets in 76 games at a sensational economy rate of 6.33, the wickets’ tally is only behind Jasprit Bumrah’s 104. He has brilliant numbers against all of the key Super Giants batters, especially against their captain, getting him out thrice in 30 balls giving away only 18 runs in the IPL.

Quinton de Kock: The former Mumbai Indians opener has one of the most reliable partners in Rahul now, which will allow him to play his natural attacking game. He loves batting in his former home ground, the Wankhede Stadium, where his recent scores are 30, 69*, 40 and 81.

Differential Picks
Avesh Khan: Avesh had a breakthrough 2021 season, where he finished as the second-leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets in 16 games. He went wicketless only in two of these games. He has taken eight wickets in four games at the Wankhede Stadium at an average of 14.38.

Lockie Ferguson: Ferguson was the best pacer for Kolkata Knight Riders in the last two editions of the IPL, where he has picked up 19 wickets in 13 games at an average of 19.58. Even in the recent Super Smash, he finished as the second-leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets in ten games at an average of 16.12.

High Risk XI: Wriddhiman Saha, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shubman Gill (capt), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Mohammed Shami (vice-capt), Avesh Khan, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Ravi Bishnoi
