NEW DELHI: Sydney Sixers entered the Big Bash League (BBL) final on Friday with a commanding 39-run victory over Brisbane Heat at the Carrara Oval in Queensland.
In a stellar performance, skipper Moises Henriques (59) partnered with opener Daniel Hughes (42) to form a crucial 94-run alliance, propelling the Sixers to a total of 152-8 in 20 overs after opting to bat.
Wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson was the leading run-scorer for the Heat with 26, but the team faced a setback, slumping to 113 all out in 17.5 overs due to an exceptional and destructive bowling spell by seamer Ben Dwarshuis, who claimed 5-21.
