NEW DELHI: Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav is currently managing a groin niggle and has been recommended rest as a precautionary measure by the Delhi Capitals‘ team management during the ongoing Indian Premier League.
The 29-year-old encountered the discomfort following DC’s match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, which unfortunately ended in a loss for the team.

Due to his injury, Kuldeep has had to sit out of the subsequent matches, allowing veteran pacer Ishant Sharma to make his return to the playing XI.
“It will take some time for him to be match fit,” an IPL source told PTI when asked about Kuldeep’s status.
As a centrally-contracted player and a hopeful for the upcoming T20 World Cup, Kuldeep’s injury and rehabilitation management will heavily involve the National Cricket Academy‘s sports science and medical team.
Franchises are mandated to promptly report any niggles or injury concerns regarding Indian players to the NCA.
Despite accompanying the team for all matches, Kuldeep’s participation in Delhi Capitals’ upcoming clash against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday remains uncertain.
Kuldeep has demonstrated his prowess with three wickets in two matches at an economy rate of 7.62. His recent performances have been commendable, notably his excellent showing in the concluded five-Test series against England, where he secured 19 wickets across four matches with an average of 20.15.
