Ruturaj, a standout performer in the series, is currently leading the most runs chart, scoring 213 runs in 4 matches at an average of 71.00, including one century and one fifty.
Ruturaj spoke about his understanding of the game’s tempo and the right-hander didn’t take much time to thank legendary Dhoni. Ruturaj plays under the captaincy of two-time World Cup-winning captain Dhoni at the Chennai Super Kings.
“I learnt a lot about this format playing for CSK. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is always keen on reading situations and understanding the game,” the 26-year-old told Jio Cinema.
“He sends a message that you have to look for the team score and what the team requires irrespective of the situation of the game. In T20s, you always have to be ahead of the game mentally and I give a lot of importance to that. The night before, I visualise what kind of situation may occur during the game, and how the pitch may behave,” Ruturaj, who has been with CSK since the 2019 IPL season, said.
