NEW DELHI: The South African cricket team has etched its name in the annals of cricket history by shattering records at the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. The Proteas achieved a remarkable feat during their electrifying showdown against New Zealand in Pune on Wednesday, where they displayed a formidable display of power-hitting and all-round prowess.
During the match, South Africaunleashed a relentless assault, sending a total of 15 cricket balls soaring over the boundary ropes in a stunning display of batting firepower.With this accomplishment, they surged ahead to amass a total of 82 sixes throughout the tournament, surpassing England’s 2019 World Cup tally of 76 sixes.

South Africa’s relentless aggression and bold cricketing approach have been their hallmarks in this World Cup campaign, with a special focus on their formidable batting prowess. Opener Quinton de Kock, leading the charge with four centuries in the tournament, and a formidable middle-order trio featuring Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller, have consistently delivered stellar performances that have propelled their team forward.
